The unique new Brain Research Center building on Hebrew University’s Givat Ram Campus is six stories high and contains 28 research laboratories. Covering an area of around 10,000 sqm, with a built-up area of 15,000 sqm, the building also includes a public level with a cafe, offices, computerized library, and auditorium. Electra Danko carried out the fitout work, involving floor-to-ceiling partitions by Innovate, with a largely transparent roof that can be opened or closed in accordance with the weather. The structure itself is wrapped in aluminum mesh to resemble nerve cells, and fibers to suggest different parts of the brain.
